Basically, your partner can change every hole. The first thing to remember is that honors has no part in this game (for the most part). On the first hole, you decide who will hit 1-2-3-4. After that, each person keeps moving up a slot, while to one who hit first, drops to #4 on the next hole.
The concept behind AMIGO is that the two people furthest left after the tee shot are partners, as are the two furthest right! You would be amazed that after the first guy snap hooks one left into the water, how much the other guys will bail out right...I mean "way right" to avoid being his partner! Amount of $$ can vary based on the group at hand. We used to play low ball for a point and low (2-man) total for a point. Birdies are double, Eagles are worth three....
