They always say the "second guy" is a great golfer! How many times have you reloaded and hit a great shot or sunk the putt?
A very fun and helpful way to practice on the course is to play two balls and play a one man 2-ball select shot game. Hit two drives, then take the best drive and hit two balls from that location, etc. Repeat until you are on the green and hole out.
You will be amazed how good the "second guy" is. You will also find the "first guy" starts getting better too.
