Per American Heritage (online edition): Stationary 1a. Not moving. b. Not capable of being moved; fixed. Uh oh...now I have an issue. The 'standard' definition doesnt meah....however...I believe Homer used this term to designate the head in and of itself. Meaning...the head doesnt move just for moving's sake. Ok - let me look further. 'Sway' (again, American Heritage Online). To swing back and forth or to and fro. Ok, now that makes sense. Certainly the 'head' isnt moving 'back' and 'fro'. Hmmm... 'Bob' To cause to move up and down (second and most appropriate definition). So.... Given the description in 1-L, I am with Lynn - albeit with some 'extra's' courtesy of American Heritage. Bottom line - the Stationary Head may turn but it does not Bob nor does it Sway. Thats my stance and I am not going to Bob or Sway on it..... phillygolf View Public Profile Send a private message to phillygolf Find all posts by phillygolf
