SB, I'm a swinger but I "hit" almost exclusively inside 45 yards now - using either angled or vertical hinging based on the shot at hand. I focus on thrust and lag pressure for distance control and don't worry much about it being a chip or pitch motion. By that I mean I start at impact fix, use RFP, and then right arm thrust to AT LEAST both arms straight.
