2-F - chapter 2 holds alot of answers
One possibility is that you lost your clubhead lag feel (Pressure point #3), which causes you to start down with the hosel towards the ball instead of the sweet spot. That can cause a shank every time. Watch the video with Ben Hogan when he hits balls into the ocean. At the end he shows how he puts his fingers on the grip. Pay atttention to his right hand when he displays the pressure points. See how his right thumb and forefinger form a little trigger finger....like you are shooting a pretend gun. And he simply states how the pressure from the right hand only goes through pressure point #3 on the back of the shaft. "It's just forward"

Remember(2-F): ...Clubshaft rotation must be around the Sweet Spot, not vice versa. So Clubhead "Feel" is Sweet Spot feel for #3 Pressure Point sensing functions. If Lag Pressure is lost, the Hands tend to start the hosel (instead of the Sweet Spot) toward Impact - that mysterious "Shank."
