"Clubface stays looking at the ball" is a good indicator of angled hinge action, especially when accompanied by "no roll" into and past impact. Pick it up with the right forearm, clubface stays looking at the ball, load the right arm up like a spring, and then smash it back down.
What kind of ball flight do your misses tend to have? Falling to the left or falling to the right?

I don't think i've ever faded the ball intentionally... ballflight is usually very straight or slight draw. Most of the misses for me tend to be plane related - usually a push followed by a pull hook as over compensation !
