another personal best
I saw Richard on Friday. We had been to Terminus on Monday to put him on 3-D. He had made changes that were beyond belief. In almost every parameter there was improvement. His warm-up swings were above 100mph, when his original swings were 84mph. We saw one thing in the left knee that we wanted to change but were unsure what we could do since the knee lacks some cartilage. I gave him one thought, and the kinematic sequence changed for the better in addition to the speed jumping.

He wanted to do a follow-up on Friday at the range, and we had similar improvement in the results. I can understand anyone that would doubt the outcome, because I would doubt it if I had not seen it with my own eyes.

Richard has now achieved a personal best of 120mph with a driver, when his original personal best was 84mph. We were so excited that he had almost achieved his goal that we forgot to take a picture. He wants to get to 126mph to have a 50% improvement in clubhead speed. I once thought that goal was unrealistic, but it might be possible.

I told him when I was chasing the 4 minute mile in high school that seconds and half seconds became harder and harder as I got closer to the goal. Also, Richard is in great shape, but he is 52 years old. There will be a limit. But, we're still reaching for his goal.

A 43% change in speed would make most people happy.
