Evening/Yellow Lights messing with depth perception?
So I was hitting in late afternoon some 3 woods and 3 irons and all was well. Relaxed, easy, good contact for the most part.

When it got dark, I turned on the lights.

All of a sudden, I wasn't even mis-hitting the ball with my 3 iron; I was missing the ball completely. My motion was still the same (or so I thought), and I made sure I had that downward and outward thud. I simplified my swing, focusing purely on the right hand thrust from the shoulder to the aim point ... swoosh-thud. I was totally missing the ball; my clubhead was going over the ball, then in front of it for the thud.

I fixed it by staying intentionally lower than usual, keeping my hands really relaxed, and not really focusing on the aim point. Then I was hitting the ball again. Weird. Scary feeling when you're missing the ball completely.

I'm guessing the night and yellow lights can mess with depth perception.
