Is my understanding of the H.Hinge motion all wrong and this infact wouldnt be imparring me at all, or should I give it up and switch to hitting?

thanks
I have exactly the same issue. I also broke my left arm severely. My range of motion is very simlar to yours. Also, from elbow to middle finger tip, my left arm is about 1 inch shorter than my right.

I have often wondered if this has an impact on my golf stroke.
