So between the high humidity and the ROCK HARD fairways people were getting them out there REALLY LONG. When David Toms is AVERAGING 306 yards for the tournament, you know the fairways are RUNNING! BTW i'm not taking anything away from Perry because he really is one o the longer hitters on tour, not many people realize it, but he isn't THAT long. I remember one hole that was 430 yards and he hit a 2 iron that left him 122 yards out! Talk about some roll....LOL If you want a comparison, he did keep up with VJ and his distances at the last tournament he won. There were many shots of him from the blimp and his ball was ending up right by VJ's and the course was soaked so not much roll.
