Part I

Right in the middle of my move so after tomorrow I may not have PC access till next Monday if Verizon doesn't come through, I hope they do though!!!

The Teachers: Lynn and Ted are two great communicators and just love what they do, as well as just compressing the golf ball themselves. They have the necessary knowledge to teach TGM, that is an understatement. I don't think many would be surprised that there are teachers out there who are unsure themselves what they are teaching, as scary as that sounds.

The System: TGM is used to help people communicate in an efficient manner. It is not a method. I take it as a way to explain every swing out there. Obviously it has certain imperitives that must be obeyed but inside of the system there are hundreds of variables. do you have to know them by letter and number? absolutely not, that is where the good teachers differentiate themselves. For the first time in my life I understood how the golf swing is a circle, I just had some misunderstandings, i.e where lowpoint was. That was all cleared up for me within the first hour of sitting with Lynn.

Nuts and Bolts: TGM attemps to get you into correct alignment positions to control your golf ball. You start off with small swings(there are 3 different levels) and progress to your full motion. I myself at this point am through the first level(chip) and honing the second level(pitch). My full swing is still unpredictable. Within TGM I can create any shot I want(long or short game), I know exactly what I need to do but now must execute it(practice, practice,practice) They also fixed my putting stroke. Wow!

Part II

Results: Way too early to tell you about results. However I noticed a few of my classmates getting a nice clicking sound out of the ball by the second day, didn't hear any of that during the first day. TGM teaches you also how the golfclub is suppose to function in the golfswing and how to control the 3 parts of the club(shaft, clubhead and clubface) something I did not understand before the school.

What I can say is I have had a fault since I started golfing about 9 years ago. It's looks like the club is laidoff and gets shut. I go to the top and then there is a little 'extra' in my swing as other teachers said. Lynn and Ted are the first ones EVER to catch what I am doing(cocking my right wrist at the top). All other instructors, which included a couple of Top 5 Golf Magazine, just told me to make my swing shorter. That made no sense at all to me. I actually have two other faults in my swing that were also addressed by Yoda and YodaLuke. Once again by knowing TGM I was able to understand what I am doing and also correct. One was a grip and one was a plane issue. Extensor action is helping cure my plane problem and monitoring my lag is helping my grip. My chipping and pitching has never been better though, I've got great control now and can really get it close by creating shots with hinging actions and stance.

I am just a novice in TGM so there is much work to do but there is a ton of 'TRUTH' in what the system teaches. It is up to me now, with the correct information and tools, to bring the results into execution.

As of the writing of this message I am a 9.1 handicap. Hitting 39% fairways(below average), 44% of GIR(Avg), 25% in sand saves(avg), up and down 51%(average),Putts 30.67(Average) according to GameTrack.

I will update in 3month intervals. Trick will be to play enough to make a difference. I fully expect in three months to have a little worse stats just because the changes are significant but you never know .

I've been to almost all the big name schools in the country(Mclean, Leadbetter, Aviara, Adams, Pelz, Palmer(still one of my favs)) and would prefer to see Lynn and Ted again without hesitation before all of those guys right now. Now, how to convince my wife that Marietta is a vacation hot spot.

You were an awesome addition to our school. I'm certain that you have a new appreciation of the G.O.L.F. geometry. I can't wait for you to get the CD of your golf swing and hear the feedback about the changes you'll make. There's no reason you can't be a zero hdcp. I'll contact the Chamber of Commerce for your wife and get all of the reasons why Marietta is a vacation destination.
