This requires a Startup Swivel (a true independent Turning Motion of the Left Forearm) and a Release Swivel (a true independent Rolling Motion of the Left Forearm) which brings you in position to apply your selected Hinge Action (usually Horizontal Hinge 10-10-D) from Impact to Follow Through (8-11), which conveniently coincides with The Finish (8-12), allowing you to precisely check your Hinge Action.

You do not need any sort of Swivel when using Basic Motion (12-5-1). It's simply too short a Stroke.

Thanks for the excellent advice which cleared a lot of fog for me
