If it's not working you're not doing the right things....period.
Setup well....gain control of that clubface.....if you're hands are educated....that'll be enough to let you play enjoyable enough golf.
The clubface deal will be the biggest problem no doubt.....Educated Hands (to sustain lag mostly) takes some work (and Clubface Control is the first step before this, really)....and anyone can setup well (if you know how).
There are guys with one arm who can play good golf.....dunno if that's gonna inspire you or insult you....I don't mean it as an insult.....either way tho I hope it wakes you up.
...
You worked with many instructors? (any TGM ones of note?- you don't have to say who BTW)....
What are the problems anyway? I assume ballstriking?....putting can get bad but I dunno that it could be bad enough to drive anyone away....from playing recreationally anyway...
You need to see a real good teacher....
...
BTW I feel your pain....sometimes it just seems impossible....you've just gotta figure it out.....man.....it's not a game purely of talent or ability, I'll promise you that (you shoulda seen my swing....years after I started even- like 10 years...).
I mean.....no guarantees you're gonna be Tiger....but it doesn't take a lot of physical or athletic ability to be a good enough ballstriker to have fun- and play some golf....look at how some old guys hit it.....hell...look at Moe Norman even for god's sake....he's no specimen not even CLOSE.....most accurate damn player ever.
I know it sucks (bad)......but you just really need to figure it out (find someone who can help you).
