I think the first thing you gotta do is change your CONCEPTS. A very good start would be to go read the Sick of Hacking? thread in Yoda's Corner. Some of the best and most fundamental material that you need to get in your Computer. It starts there with the Line of Compression and understanding Down & Out On-Plane to Low Point.
I haven't got the book, mainly because of the stories of engineer's that couldnt even read it. But I think since I can bounce stuff off you guys I will go ahead and pick up a copy.
You cannot go wrong with the great references you have already been given. A huge piece of the puzzle for me like the Bucketmeister said was/is conceptual. What steepened my learning curve was understanding how the HANDS work. Once you understand the vertical v. horizontal relationship then you got an understanding of them winged wedges! Watch Yoda's Dowels and Wedges (the best 4 minute lesson I have ever had!) and be sure that you WILL NOT read that in Golf Digest next month! The added bonus will be that you will learn how to spear fish as well! I have watched that 50 times...conservatively. Tom Tomasello's series (Episode 3) will help in that regard. The hands work together as you have no doubt heard, but they have seperate and distinct tasks. Work on that strong single action grip! Learn all 24 components...then identify, or choose anew! The guided struggle beats the snot out of the blind struggle! Good luck.
