With Yoda's help and guest passes left at will call for us by Brian, we had the distinct pleasure of representing LBG at the Northern Trust for the third straight year. Although Brian had a little difficulty on a few holes in Round 2 today, I can tell all that Brian is a class act and has a golf swing that is a joy to watch. Our bus from the parking area got stuck in traffic near the course early this am and we were unable to see Brian tee off on the first tee but we caught up with him on the third hole and followed him thru 18. Coming off the green on #4 Brian walked by us and we gestured hi to Brian & thanked him for leaving us our tickets...Brian stops and shakes our hands and says no problem glad you could make it. We were so suprised by this gesture and did not expect him to do that during his round. Brian...if you do read this post thank you sir for making our day...we thoroughly enjoyed watching you play and appreciate your kindness...you are a true gentlemen and I am honored to be one of your fans. Good luck next week in defending your title at Mayakoba. We look forward to seeing you again next year at Riviera.
PS Yoda...you are right ...Brian is plenty long and straight off the tee...his putter after a couple of weeks off may have let him down a little today but I expect that next week it will be back in form & serve him well.

Great story HG. That had to be really fun. What a first class gentleman!
A tough round had to happen sooner or later, Brian may be our hero, but he's only human.
We'll get em next week!

Brian's 70-76=146 (+4) missed the 141 cut by 5. But, even in this tough round, he never quit. He followed bogey at #2 with birdie at #3. He followed bogey at #8 with two pars and a birdie at #11. Then, he followed double-bogey at #16 with a birdie at #17. He just kept grinding it out, but alas, on this occasion, t'was not to be.
Next week, he heads south of the border to defend his title at Maykoba.
