I agree, Brian's putter, his fairways hit, his #2 on tour from 275 out or whatever it was ........he is made for majors I think.

By the way did you notice that Brian Gay and Jay Williamson are ranked 2 and 3 in driving accuracy.

At what point does 'coincidence' meet 'catalytic'?

the jacket
I like his other jackets. But, a green one would be nice!

Puttering A-round
Brian Gay To Play First Masters With Bettinardi Putter
Tinley Park, IL, April 6, 2010 - Bettinardi Golf, maker of the highest quality milled putters in the world, will head to Augusta on the bag of PGA Tour player Brian Gay. It will be Gay's Masters debut.

Gay, who has played with a Bettinardi putter for years including his three PGA Tour wins, will test his Bettinardi BB8 Tour prototype putter on some of the most challenging greens he'll see this season at Augusta. Gay heads into the Masters with some momentum - one top 10 finish and five top 25 finishes in 9 events played this year.

"We're thrilled to cheer for Brian who has earned the right to play in one of sport's most storied venues. Because it's his first Masters it makes it that much more exciting for our young company," stated Bob Bettinardi. "We'll be rooting Brian on as an integral member of the Bettinardi family."

Gay finished the 2009 season ranked #4 in 2009 PGA Tour Putts Per Round with an average of 28.11 and recently posted his best position on the year-end 2009 money list (13th). Finishing among the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings, has earned him entry to all four majors in 2010 - the Masters, The U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship based on his 2009 performance. Bettinardi
I have a custom Bettinardi, and I love it. He made 100% the design changes that I requested on my putter. And, the workmanship is flawless.

Although I believe that Brian could putt with the branch of a tree, the Bettinardi will serve him well.

I keep telling my buds to watch out for Brian at Augusta. Augusta National requires very accurate mid to short iron play and world class putting. To me, that seems the perfect setup for Brian. After all, it doesnt take long to call the role of the putting class he is in (a little Bum Phillips lingo). If he's had enough time to figure out what spots to hit, he will be factor on Sunday.
