I have had an impact bag failure after only two days of use. I am using mostly the dowels, but did use a club a little. Busted the seam right out. While I admit that it was two days of fairly heavy use, I don't think this should have happened this soon and will be returning it. Seems like these things should be designed for abuse.
Just wondering what the top brands are and the best place to get them.
Check the Manzella Forum - there was an extended discussion of impact bags there a few mos ago, where to get them, suggestions for homemade bags, and suggestions on how to use them. Most of Yoda's drills are at less than full swing speed. Sounds like you're doing mainly full speed swings with such a short bag life.
I picked up a Gary Wiren bag at the local Dicks Sporting Goods. It was an empty bag so I asked the Sales associate what I should fill it with. He replied SAND!
I fould some old sheets and blankets around the house for filler. So far, so good.
I think you could do about the same thing with an old duffel bag.
I have found the yellow impact bag sold by Gary Wiren to be the most durable, one other we have tried is called the contact sak by shot savers, not sure if I am allowed to post the web site address. Only fill the bags with towels our sheets, nothing sharp.
