Curt Sanders currently teaches at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, NC. Curt is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned a degree in finance and was a member of the Men’s Golf Team. While playing Varsity Golf at Ohio State, Curt earned Academic All-American as well as All-American honors. He captained the 1994 Buckeye Men’s Golf Team and won the Low Stroke Average Award in the Big Ten Conference that same year.
After spending four years on the professional golf mini tours, Curt began teaching privately and in golf schools. . While teaching, Curt worked for two years as the Assistant Golf Coach at The University of South Carolina Men’s Golf Team, helping coach the Gamecocks to three straight victories in the 2003-2004 season.
Since 2006, Curt has served as an Assistant Golf Professional at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, NC. After becoming a member of the PGA of America in 2007, Curt competed in the Carolinas PGA Section Championship that same year and won first place.
He has played in four events on the PGA TOUR, and qualified for the 2008 PGA Championship. He has won the Bob Boyd Award for Player of the Year in the Carolinas PGA Section three years in a row. (2008, 2009, 2010) In 2009, Curt became a Certified PGA Professional in the area of Instruction, and earned Lynn Blake Golf Certified Master Instructor honors in 2011.
Curt teaches golfers of all ages and is passionate about studying the game of golf and seeing people improve. He is married to Jennifer Sanders and they reside in Wilmington, North Carolina.
