I understand that the way the Ebook teaches, this is called "special" fix. What's the difference between this and impact fix. Pros and cons for both.

Standard Fix (10-8-A) features a "comparatively squared away" Body position. Special Fix (10-8-B) maintains the On Plane Impact alignments of the Power Package, but features an "'Open' alignment of the entire Body" (not just an Open Stance). The late Sam Snead's 'side saddle' Putting Stance was an extreme of this Variation.

Hitting or Swinging, Standard Fix is normally preferred, but Special Fix is extremely useful with Short Shots (for restricting the Backstroke and promoting On Line Motion through the Ball).
