In fact, no less than Sam Snead described the Left Wrist Release as a "sidewise hammer." And the Left Wrist does indeed continue to 'hammer' through Impact as it moves from Level (at Impact) to Uncocked (post-Impact). So, even the Swinger's Sequenced Release --Uncock then Roll -- is not completely Sequenced: There remains a touch of the 'simultaneous' Uncock and Roll as well.
