I was also surprised that the lower pulley is over the right foot and not further foward.
Homer's pictures of Sally are taken at an angle to the plane line placing the white drawing of the hands appear more posterior. A camera angle directly in front of her would move them foward. See 9-3-1 thru 9-3-12
