But i suddenly thought that it depends on ones perspective... Look at the water slide in this link :- http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/water-slide-5.jpg It is clearly curved from the view of the photogragher ... BUT if you were the child on the slide... looking straight ahead...you would be going in a straight line...although down....the line is still straight...
