Brian Gay today shot his second consecutive 2-under par 69, including birdies on four of the final seven holes.
His 65-71-69-69=275 earned a T17 finish and a check for $90,000.
Jay Williamson found the going a little tougher, closing with a 3-birdie, 6-bogey round of 74. Nevertheless, his 69-68-72-74 = 283 resulted in T58 and $13,080.
More than I made this week!
On to Pebble Beach and the AT&T Pro-Am!
Both Brian and Jay have committed (Brian has not yet confirmed and may not play).
John Riegger is also in the field. We've not seen John since the Sony Open in Hawaii: It has been tough for players with higher 'numbers' -- 2008 cards via Q-School and Nationwide Tour -- to make the field in the West Coast events. And this makes things even more difficult in the 'reshuffle' -- a new assignment of 'numbers' based on YTD money-earned -- that occurs periodically throughout the year.
Greg Kraft and
Neal Lancaster are also in the field, playing in their first PGA TOUR event of the year.
Good luck to all!
