The game (especially at the highest levels) is still soooo much about putting, and that is in turn related to being really good from 140 yards and in. I contend that the longest hitters aren't usually the straightest (while the shorter ones tend to be straigher), so they're not hitting approach shots from the short grass. There is some sort of "equalizer" there as a result. Hope you're doing well. CG Food for thought . . . So far in '08, Tiger Woods is more accurate from 150-175 yards (21'11") than from 75-100 yards (23'11"). __________________ "In my experience, if you stay with the essentials you WILL build a repeatable swing undoubtedly. The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts) mrodock View Public Profile Send a private message to mrodock Find all posts by mrodock
