Ok I think I'm starting to get it
I have experimented back and forth with swinging and hitting for quite some time and eventually gave up on hitting due to right elbow pain and simply disliking the feel of it.

However, the more I read The Book and the more I read the forums the more and more I begin to realize that I had to be right arm swinging.

Now I took all of the precautions against this including completely eliminating hip turn and any old swinging habits. I had an anchored left leg and was literally just trying to stand over the ball and hit it with my right arm.

But I simply never got that feel of really pressing #1 forcefully throughout the swing.

So I spend some time at the range today and decide to hit my remaining 12 balls and I decide all I want to focus on is PP #1 and making sure I'm applying force throughout. Lo and behold here is a completely different feel.

So my simple question to the hitters is, is PP #1 a truly active, positive, you know it if you are doing it and know it if you aren't type of thing?

Is the feeling of right arm swinging the same as right arm hitting only without the driving of PP #1?

I'm beginning to think that all of this time I thought I was right arm hitting when I was right arm swinging and aggravating my elbow the entire time.....
