Brian Gay fired rounds of 66-73-69-69=277, finished T-16 and earned $93,000. That gives him $296,436 for the year in four events. Nice start!
Meanwhile,
Blake Adams, the 34-year old 2009 Q-School graduate who grew up and plays out of The Golf Club at Cuscowilla, had another fine tournament. He shot 65-74-66-71=276, finished T-10 and earned $137,433. Blake's fine performances thus far -- $183,999 in four events -- will stand him in good stead during the first reshuffle. I've attached below a photo of Blake and me taken on the practice tee just before the final round of the 2010 Sony Open. We had last seen each other on the practice tee at Cuscowilla, 4,559 miles away!
