Have got some things straightened out. I was putting too much right arm thrust cross line and was getting over the top, now I'm driving right down plane and getting really good results.

Only problem is the occasional "stinger". ie: sometimes I hit one and it takes off really low. Today, I was 180 out on a par four, hit a nice six iron, but it was a low smoking ball, hit the green and ran out. Doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally and I was wondering what may be causing it. Could it be hands too forward at impact?
I'd check a few things . . . .

1. do you get "shutty" at the top?
2. like you said you could be too "leany" with the shaft. how are your divots . . . beaver pelts or bacon strips? angle of attack could be too steep
3. could be the face is closing to rapidly . . . remember that you still have #2 accumulator motion. So do some hammering with the club in a vertical plane. make sure that you don't have your grip arranged in a way that causes you to shut the face when you "hammer" . . . Eddie Cox showed me this . . . it's a BIG DEAL . . . even for hitters . . . even though you ain't #2 dependent you still are employing that accumulator. You need to be sure that your grip matches the motion. So if you hammer the ground and the blade closes . . . could be hooky and low.

that's my take.
