What thoughts did Rob stress to get your backswing more upright and less flat? Your old swing looks like mine, I am trying to get my swing towards the plane reflected in your latest pictures. Any suggestions how that was accomplished?
it has taken alot of time and effort to get to where i am now. the problems i face normally are an unsteady tripod, and underplane. this change could have more than likely taken place in less than one year with the right info and instructor, i have been with one who mixes his instruction based on what he sees and likes in a swing in his library and pictures. this caused alot of heartache and sweat but has been well worth it. i cannot seem to find anything in my lesson videos as i have probabbly just overlooked them. The main things i cannot understand is the fact that the shaft is verticle but the hands are moving around your body. Please correct me if i am wrong about this anyone.

Chris,I may be misunderstanding you,but are you talking about the wristcock being a vertical motion?
This is a very important thing to understand.Wristcock is a vertical motion ,but because of the body rotation imparting a rotational motion to the arms it occurs "on plane".
I got in the habit a long time ago and have done it ever since. it going to be a hard fix im sure but i have not set my mind to it yet. my main focus has been plane for the last couple of years and that has been on the backburner. as an examle in John's latest video the club works up nicely. Should i try to emulate this.
Practice slow motion backswings with your back against a wall (or a foot or so away). This will help give you the feel of the hands being 'under' the shaft, and the clubhead staying more in front of you, outside your hands until hip high. A bit more bent at the hips may also be helpful to you.

What is the idea with watching the clubhead on the way back?
Seen a few people on TGM forums do this, but never seen anyone outside TGM do it?
It was look, look, look that got me doing this and its been a lot of work to get rid of it (still ongoing). The trouble is it can lead to swaying if taken too far. Like any habbit to take it away you have to replace it with something else. Eg: feeling of turning the head to the left on the backswing rather than the right.

Anyone else had any experience of curing this.
Yes,something similar.
I turn my head in an attempt to make a "full" turn.
This "full" turn is actually too much, turning as far as I can with a stationary head, eyes on the ball, is plenty.
