Isn't it that the hitter accelerates the whole of the left arm and club as one piece...frozen ( like Ted likes) alignments and the pivot supports this simple thrust. There are ( in theory ) no segments in the chain which require momentum transfer...

The swinger does nothing to the arms at all... they respond to the pivot ( via pp4)... club responds to arms... chain links... momentum transfer..

Maybe...

so yes pivot might move a bit but the action is all triceps and the arm and club are fixed...no?
