Down, Out, and Forward
Lynn, Drew and Jeff –
Thank you so much for the kind words.
This process started last March 07. I have been creeping and learning from all the great posters on this site: Daryl, 12 Piece, Mike O, and Yodasluke, to name a few. At first it was like learning a new language, and I was often confused, but the more posts I read the more it made sense. Learning the yellow book is quite a progression. You think you understand and you have it, only to be totally immersed in fog the next moment. But every time I work through the fog, I feel that I am closer to understanding.
Drew, thank you; you are a great teacher and mentor. I actually found Drew on this site. I was impressed with what he wrote so I called him. His instruction is very much like his posts: clear, concise and entertaining. If you are ever in this area and want to learn, I highly recommend calling him.
Jeff, your precision is what I will strive for. For those of you that are impressed with Jeff from his videos in the gallery as I was, the in person action will floor you. Can you say:”In control of your ball!”
Lynn, I had a great time and learned a lot. You have supplied the information. It is now up to me to implement and apply what you have taught me……..of course with the help of Drew!

Thanks, Jim.
Regarding Drew and me, the 'riders' may be 1,100 miles apart, but . . .
We're delivering the same 'mail'.

Jeff,
I met a old friend of yours, a certain salesman for ahead who shall remain nameless, but he had some good dirt on you!!
I asked him how you could have so much precision in your golf swing alignments and struggle (your words, not mine) with your putting stroke. He said you have uneducated hands when putting!!! His words not mine!!!
Get those putting hands educated and get out on tour, leave the PGA stuff to the less talented players, glad I'm not in the Georgia Section!!!

"Jungle Jims"
Congratulations to Jim Burke on making it through the local qualifying for the U.S. Open. Jim shot a 73 in bitter cold, windy conditions at the TPC of Boston (home of the PGA Tour's Deutsche Bank Championship). Also, qualifying was Jim Renner with a 71, another golfer I am proud to work with.

Hey I know this guy! I used to watch him beat balls Saturday mornings at the local muni with Mike Wortis and Jimmy King. Jim is a terrific athlete. All American hockey star at U of Maine and then played NHL hockey for the Hartford Whalers. Didn't know he was hooked on TGM.

Yesterday, Jim won a New England PGA Event at Brae Burn CC (former U. S. Open site) by four shots, carding a 68. The Burke Express rolls on...

I know he qualified for the PGA Tour's Deutsche Bank Championship a couple of years ago. He is a talented ball striker.
