You ain't heard about that? He's been helping Chris Everett with her backhand. He was supposedly best friends with her hubby . . . probably not no more. They're supposed to get hitched pretty soon.

An edge
The guys from South Africa may have connections with great
wine produces. There are some excellent wines in So. Africa.

For me, Coonawara is best that Australia offers.

To bad that Greg Norman has started to market lower
quality wines from the U.S.A. Same for Arnold Palmer.
Would Tiger Woods put his name on something that did
not appear to have real class?

Mike Weir may have a hit with his icewines?

You fail to understand the concept of marketing. Lower not low quality wines are made to increase sales to a wider audience not interested in spending 40+ dollars on a bottle of wine. I drink lower quality French reds from George Duboeuf that are outstanding at less then 12 dollars a bottle. I would never have bought a more expensive bottle- if they do. Too many vinyards are exclusionary. Wine for the people. I have had some of the Els and Frost red wines both okay- nothing to get excited about. Frost has better wines right now because his vineyards are maturing as are his barrels. Els will in time. Both a committed to the product.

As celebrity wines go- Francis Ford Coppola has made some nice over priced wines. I haven't seen a Jerry Garcia bottle of wine in a while- very mellow with good legs and a repeatable buzz.

To me and this is just me . . . seems arrogant . . . put your name on a shirt, hat, golf course, golf club, improvement thingie, whatever . . . but wine??? Please . . . .

I'm just waiting for the David Frost Computer or The Frostie 747 or how about some Frosteez Drawz?

I mean would anybody buy any Randy Moss wine? Or Allen Iverson vintage? Or Boo Weekly Wine?

Don't be pimpin' that hoity-toity narcissistic mess on me . . . put out a nice set of butta knife blades . . .

I saw that Golf Channel deal on that English player that likes to paint stuff . . . got a hot wife and a Polo contract . . . "I like to dress European" . . . Yeah whatever you look like a wanna-be cyber pimp with a belt that I made in shop class in '85 with a skunk hat for hair. "I like to collect art." Looks like something that got splattered on the back of a toilet. "I like to drink wine." Oh really . . . that same stuff you drank when your frat buddies wrote all that nice stuff on your forehead when you passed out at the frat house. Just cuz you play golf and are rich don't mean I give a rats about what you put under your nose or swish around in your mouth.

I mean don't get me wrong . . . I'm all about people risin' up above their raisin' and makin' cash money . . . but act like you been there before. You know about as much about makin' wine as I do about shootin' 63.

Straight P-I-M-P'd out.

Certainly they enjoy fine wines and have disposable cash (whats that???)
and blended an investment and a hobby/interest into $$$$. Show me the money!

Arrogance is cologne- except Derek Jeter's

Lets see John Daley sweat up a cologne fragrance.

Put a tube sock in it and go back to drink'in yer PBR .
I'm buyin me a vineyard here in Texas and I'm gunna box some Bagger Wine. My first batch is called Beaujolais Dog Fart Nuevo. I just throw some juice in the closet with a little sugar and yeast. A few weeks later it hits the shelves at the liquor store drive-through.
I'll send you some Cat Barf Cabernet which is guaranteed to cure your bad attitude. You'll need some Monkey Butt powder to go with it. Its a package deal.

Bucket - agree with you to some degree.... but Luke Donald's name on a Blade would almost be as artificial as Faldo on wine.... sure they know what a good one tastes and feels like....but they would each have very little input into designing the product... and luke probably would not be using the retail version of his blade anyway....

Endorsements only have real significance to me if you know that the guys in the know are using the exact same product that you are...like you and Tiger with your Miura forgings....

Or me and Tiger and our Gillette shaving blades....actually i don't do the vibrating version!...but at least I know my stubble is trimmed by the same steel that his is...unless he has some special samurai steel shaving blade that gillette just puts his name to...with a few "tour versions" available for the few...

We are suckers for marketing... we buy something because a "trusted " celebrity (sports, film whatever) puts their name to it..."trusted" meaning I have never met him/her and like their films/swings/bank balance....

What i want is a striaght talking golf wine without pretension...

I hear Boo is coming out with some grape juice soon.... Now Boo putting his name to some hunting equipment and you just know tha guy would have a great product!
