Kevin is right on!!! If you're swinging, it's encouraged that you start at adjusted address which would give you a slightly bent (cupped) left hand. I guess you could say that your left arm flying wedge is out of line (B/L/V) at standard address and becomes constructed in startup.
For what it's worth, if I ever get a little sketchy with it, I just go to desired impact, then move back to a "standard"/adjusted address.
